Energy turnaround Nowadays, everywhere they talk about climate change, and the necessity to do something against it. I agree, we humans are responsible to protect the earth, and preserve our living environment. There are too many natural disaters, and it seems as if they would increase with the time. Maybe, theses disaters are caused by climate change. But what can we do? So many scientists from all over the world search for possible ways to stop it. One way could be economizing. We can use natural resources like sun, wind and water. That sounds great, but there are also some aspects to consider. I live in the north part of Germany. This area is sparsely populated. Besides, it blows almost constantly a more or less strong wind. So it seems to be an ideally suitable place for constraction of wind power stations. Actually, it sounds good for the first moment. But when we have a deeper look at it, we realize that it isn’t as good as we thought. Why do I think that? We need a lot of resources to build these wind turbines. The next problem comes when the wind turbines are too old, and they need to be decommissioned. Just today I read an article about that topic in the newspaper. They wrote that they don’t know what to do with the scrap from the wind turbines. This will in turn damaged the environment. My opinion is, that the people who decided to build these big wind power stations didn’t think enough about the consequences.
