Asahara Shoko, who is the leader of the organization, and his closest associates felt that any of their actions were justified in doing anything and they believed necessary, to achieve their desires. This lead to a thought where they claimed that their campaigns and actions are sacred and divine. that is; They call themselves liberators which sounds much acceptable than Terrorists. The group also uses the word ‘poa’ ,which stands for murder, to remove the negative images of the illegality of their acts. The wise use, in a result, of the word ‘guru’ ,who had a considerable persuasive power to attract new members.

Another point, is that Aum certainly aimed at destructing the symbols of Tokyo and Japan. It has not been cleared whether they intended to create terrors and fears rather than to causing death. The target place of the attack was Kasumigaseki, where the buildings of most of the key agencies of the Japanese government and the major ministries, as well as the National Police Agency, have their headquarters. This fact, possibly support the idea that Aum had tried to kill people in connection with political institutions or organizations. The group seems to have much resentment against the government. Olson (1999) also stated, that the message of the event, is that the objective of the Tokyo subway attack, was to kill as many policemen as possible.
