Do you think that being a celebrity brings more benefits or more problem? Due to the fast development of internet and media, it is much easier than before to become a world-famous person such as a film star or an elite athlete overnight. Many people want to be one of them because this would bring a lot of advantages to themselves and their lives. While others think being a famous person brings trouble and disturbs their lives. I agree more with the latter. One of the very obvious advantages of being famous is that fame generally brings lots of fortune. The famous NBA basketball star, Kobe Bryant earned 23 million dollars only from basketball last year, which is more than two hundred times of an engineer’s first-year salary. Luxurious homes and cars, fancy gifts, expensive clothes and other such materialistic pleasures of life convert from a dream to a reality when people become famous. It is also true that, when people become famous, more opportunities arise in life whether career related or not. For example, Michael Jordan made a living not only from NBA. He was the face of Nike and promotes many other brands. On the other hand, celebrities also suffer from the problems their fume brings them. In addition, celebrities do not have privacy, because they are being stalked and hounded by paparazzi and fans all the time. And the photos of their private lives at home may be taken by the paparazzi staying outside their home and posted different kinds of tabloids, magazines and newspapers. From my point of view, being a celebrity can bring problems such as losing privacy and a changed lifestyle. But it also brings mor
