开门见山。 We read a text in Chinese at university lately and there was this expression. (开门见山) Also there was a translation for it. But I still don't get it. I don't know how to use it. Is it a verb or? Can smb please explain what this expression means. And give me some examples.

开门见山;:1.打开门就能看见山。
例如:住在这里,最令人高兴的就是能够开门见山,可以看到美丽的风景。
         2.说话或写文章直截了当谈本题,不拐弯抹角。(do something or speak directly)
例如:我不习惯听人说话拐弯抹角,您就开门见山的说吧。
       我是个直肠子的人,说话向来开门见山。

开门见山. Do you know idiom of Chinese?I think this idiom's(开门见山) meaning equal to an adverb——directly,if you open the door,and then you can see the mountain directly,does this direct?他的女朋友说话喜欢开门见山。——His gf likes to talk directly.
