In the lecture, the professor is skeptical about the idea of the reading passage that it's benefit for employees typically work four days a week rather than five days a week. The professor argues that work five days a week is a wise choice for employees. Firstly, in the reading passage ,the wirter says the four days' workweek would improve company profits because the employees would feel relaxed and they would make less mistake during the work time. On the contrary, the professor says that hiring more employees for four day's work would spend more money and as a reault the profits of the company would decrease. Because the company would pay for more training fee. And also the company has to give more benfits for every employees.So it would cost much more money than hire empoyees who work for five days a week. The professor then opposes reading's idea that hiring more people do not mean the copmany would cost more money by stating that the proferssor says that more employees need more spaces and more computers.It indicates that the company may spend more because of the increasing number of employees. Finally, the professor disproves the reading idea that if the company chooses employees work for four days would reduce unemployment rates. The professor points out that not only do the option would not reduce unemployment rates but also it would make the employees lose their work abilities. Because if they only work four days a week ,they would have more time to have fun, they would forget about their works. Besides, the company want to hire mangers who can work five days a week. To sum up, the professor supposes that employees should work five days a week.
