A book that affected me There are several books I loved and that affected me, but I want to write about one I read relatively in recent years and it still remain very vivid in my memory. The book is " Blindness" and it was written by the portoguese novelist Jose Saramago and it's likely his most famous novel, Moreover Saramago was awarded with the Nobel Prize for Literature only few years after publishing "Blindness" The novel tells about a strange illness because of wich the people affected become suddenly blind and, weirdly, they see everything white colored. The history is a dystopic novel where the blind people are put in hospital and hided from the society. In the hospital they are treated like prisoners and they have to struggle each other to survive. But it's very difficult to confine the illness and the controllers can become blind themselves very easy and they switch from controlling to be tortured for what they did. The novel is an impressive metaphore about the cruelty of the humane nature that is unable to give solidarity and help the weak people.
