Languages! Hello! holá! おはよう! สวัสดีค่ะ! I'm Alex. My native language is English. I love languages! I wish I could learn them all. I'm new to italki, so I'm just trying to figure out how everything works. This is my first notebook entry! My language background is simple. My parents only speak English, so I was raised only speaking English. I grew up in Hawaii where people spoke a lot of different languages. I started studying Japanese when I was 14. I studied off and on for four years. Now, my Japanese isn't very good either :( Right now my focus in on learning Thai because I'm traveling to Thailand in August. My Thai isn't good at all. I know a few phrases, but I do not even know the alphabet yet. But I'm learning! I'm also most interested in Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese. Though, I'd like to learn just about anything! Anyway, feel free to message me if you'd like to chat. I like writing better than Skype chat, but maybe we can do both :) Thanks for reading! Alex
