Last year at high school Last friday Istarted my Easter Holidays, but I will have to go back to school next week. I also got my grades, which are quite good so far. I am doing my best to have good grades because this year, the one who gets the highest grades, will not have to pay the first year of University. I am not obsessed with that, so I am trying to get good grades because in this way I will have more opportunities to study what I want next year. However, it would be great if I could get that prize because University is quite expensive. This year there are many people in my course that also have really good grades, so it will be difficult, but I will keep trying.

Creo que grados es "degrees", pero a lo mejor también se puede decir "grades". La verdad es que no lo sé, yo también estoy aprendiendo inglés.

En este contexto, "grades" significa "notas" (las notas del colegio). En otros contextos no sé qué puede significar.
