The research deals with the problem of offshore oil and gas fields’ infrastructure usage after their expiration elimination. One of the main questions is: How can we use the offshore structures after the end of production? For the purpose of offshore infrastructure maintenance and further development a hypothesis of oil platforms’ functionality change is made. There is potential prospect for it oil and gas companies of to excluding reduce abandonment costs from the project of the offshore field development projects. More than that, it allows coastal states of to improveing their marine environments.

Not sure which word is correct but think there is a better word than expiration and elimination - end of use.

1) Elimination – Expiration. I agree. The second term is better and is recommended by the Dictionary of Oil and Gas Branch.
2) a, - I lost an indefinite article
3) In prospect it allows oil and gas companies - <em>There is potential for oil and gas companies</em> -???. Here accent not on opportunity, but for future time. Is it better to use the idiom "in the long term" ?
4) of excluding - <em>to reduce</em>-? Here the sense means not reductions, but an exception of expenses and assets. The companies will be able to remove from balance offshore structures, only if the platform is functional for the new purposes. Is it possible to use words «preclude» or « decommission » ?
5) the project of the offshore field development - from offshore field development projects. - I agree.
6) of improving the - to improve their - I agree.
