Consumerism

Why do people buy thing's that they don't use later? I believe that this kind of behavior is a bad habit.
Personally I think that there are many things that are not necessary for us to live happy healthy lifes.
Other occasions many times people change possesions upgrade when the older version still works fine, that still work. like smart phones, If my smartphone works well, why would I need a new  other smartphone?.
I believe also Believe that the industry introduce's us in this types of behaviors, because they make products few not very durable and continuously they bring to market new products without any need.
However, we can change this phenomenon by undestanding the impact of consumerism in the environment and
buying only necessary things.
