Using connectors of contrast.

As the exercise in my textbook requests, I'm going to write some sentences contrasting the information in two texts. So, here we go!

First, I'll set the scene.
.................

Both texts discuss the pros and cons of two forms of leading.
Text 1 is about Affiliative style, which is a way of working based on people's well-being so that the enterprise can profit from their creativity and loyalty.
Text 2 tells us about Pacesetting style, a more severe method of leading in which there is a pacesetter who demands high performance standards.

The Affiliative style acknowledges the value of each staff member keeping in mind their feelings. Conversely, the Pacesetting style doesn't care about their members' needs, making them feel that their efforts are not worth enough.

The way of leading shown in the first text improves the group atmosphere and focuses on employees' happiness. However, the second form of leadership in the latter piece of writing ruins motivation and confidence since the staff is usually snowed under high standards.

Affiliative members' job is carried out according to their own ideas of effectiveness. Whereas, pacesetter states the guidelines, so workers feel that their initiatives aren't going to be taken in account.

In contrast to pacesetting style, where workers with poor performance are quickly spotted, affiliative employees can underwork under a less demanding leader's command.
