Writing exercise 0401 Neal's father , James was charged murder 30 years ago , Ellen was his colleague she is the first person who saw James with a died man lay on the ground , James held a gun . Ellen didn't believe that James was the murder , so she collect evidence and found that there are a lot of dirty cops in the bureau . before she got enough evidence , James confessed. So Ellen and Neal were protected by a plan called WITSEC.Ellen changed her name and hide, and she kept collecting evidence for 30years . Ellen was murdered after she came back to New York. Neal got Ellen' message that all the evidence she collected was in a box, she hide the box in Empire State Building , 50 floor. Neal found out James and asked his help for making a plan to get the box . James agreed. Though Empire State Building has very strict security check , Neal managed to locate where the box is by using a metal scanner because the box is a metal box . Before they take action , they found corruption evidence about James murder case lead to a senator and the senator know they are investigating. The senator want to get the box ahead Neal ,then things get complicated. The result is James shoot the senator and run. Neal get the box and find that his father is the murder . This is the story from White Collar season 4 .

She is the first person who saw James with a dead man lying [--> to lie, not to lay] on the ground, James was holding a gun. Ellen didn't believe that James was the murderer, so she collected evidence and found that there were a lot of dirty cops in the bureau. Before she got enough evidence, James confessed. So Ellen and Neal were protected by a plan called WITSEC. Ellen changed her name and hid, and she kept collecting evidence for 30 years.
