The Spell 1st of April 2015 In the dim light of the lamp she looked at the calendar, only a handful of days missed from the 1st of April. She walked toward the large glass door overlooking the garden, she opened it wide and watching to the dotted sky she breathed the sweet night air announcing the spring. On the table was placed a lectern with a large ancient book. She was ready for the ritual, just a last quick peek at her clothing reflecting on the glass window of the door,... there was no hat. Ah, how she felt stupid to wear it! She took it from the sofa, the top was wilt, never mind, she thought, wearing it and feeling ridiculous: it was good that rituals had to be done during the night. She silently and carefully read from the book the formula, then she put all her fingers on her heart and re-saying the formula loudly, with a big effort she took from it a small gem of 'affection', it was similar to an iridescent opal, then she put it inside a small blue velvet box, she again settled her hands to her heart and she took out the gem of 'warmth', she focused and for the third time she brought her hands on her heart and took out the gem of ''gratitude'. Now all the three precious stones were in the velvet box. She felt exhausted, she walked again to the window, the crescent moon for her positions, seemed to smile to her back. Tomorrow she would sent by 'human' mail the box, as a birthday present. If someone would open it, would see solely an empty case, only the person for whom she created the gems would be able to see and touch them. I can not cast spells :))) I can only weave stories and words. Happy birthday. Elisa

It's not clear. I'm guessing it's from her heart literally as the latter part of your story seems to be suggesting With a herculean effort, from her heart, she took out a small gem of "affection". It was similar to looked like an iridescent opal.then she put it inside She gingerly place it into a small blue velvet box.  she again settled Once more, her hands placed to her heart and she took out the Gem of 'Warmth'.
