The socialist miracle generated a lot of supporters who believed that the socialism should be the economic model that should predominate in the world. While, The Soviet Union overcame the Great Depression without economic affectations, the real reason that allowed that this happened was that the Soviet Union had decided to avoid any economic relationship with capitalist countries.
The European rebuilding needed to be paid for, anyone winning countries got great financial compensation from the losing ones. In the losing countries, workers worked to rebuild their cities and homes and also, they needed to work to compensate the rebuilding in the winning countries. The rearmament had begun to intensify.
