我问中文怎么说的时候，平常那中国人会告诉我直接翻译不好。 但是我不要直接翻译，因为直接翻译没必要学习。 英语和中文是不一样的语言所以学着直接翻译没意思。
当我问中国朋友如何用中文表达某个意思的时候, 他们通常跟我讲不要直译.
When I ask Chinese people how to say something in Chinese, they usually tell me the direct translation is not good.
直译也不是我想要的,因为那个用处不大.
However, I don't want the direct translation because it's not useful to learn the direct translation.
英文和中文各有千秋,所以直译没有什么意义.
English and Chinese are different languages, so studying direct translations isn't meaningful.
所以我平常觉得很奇怪中国人对我会指望我要直接翻译，其实我不要。意义是更有意思。 我在想学习一门新语言的时候会有什么样子人想要学直接翻译，然后呢，他会不能说正的语言?
但我很奇怪的发现, 一些中国朋友竟然以为我喜欢直译.
So I often find it quite strange that Chinese people would expect that I would like the direct translation.
事实上, 我不喜欢直译, 地道的翻译才是我想要的.
Actually, I don't want that，a natural native translation is more useful.
我很纳闷什么样的语言初学者会去学习直译呢, 因为这样子的话, 他不会学习到这门语言的精髓并且用的活灵活现.
I wonder what kind of person learning a new language would want to learn direct translations, and then not be able to speak the language correctly?
其实对于一名语言初学者而言,他/她总是会以自己母语的特性去学.
等接触了时间长之后, 才会慢慢转变到新语言的思维中.

所以我平常通常觉得很奇怪，中国人对我会指望以为我要直接翻译，其实我不要。意义译是更有意思（‘用’ is better）。 我在想学习一门新语言的时候会有什么样子怎样的人想要学直接翻译，然后呢，他会不能说正确的语言?
（平常 means common，通常 means often || 有意思的 means funny，有用的 means useful）
我时常有些纳闷为啥有些中国朋友会认为我想要直译。事实上不是这样的，地道的翻译才是我想要的。有谁会在学习新语言的时候(仅仅)只学习直译呢，而又不会正常说话。
（时常means usually ，纳闷means you don't know the reason but you want to know (it)，正确说话 means the sentence of your speaking is wrong, 正常说话 means the sentence of your speaking is right, but it possible let other feel strange or odd）

但是我不要的不是直接翻译啊！，因为直接翻译根本没有学习的必要。

我根本不想要直接翻譯，我只是想知道該如何用道地的中文來表達自己。
→我想你會有這種困擾應該是因為你用了natural native translation這三個字，通常當別人說"翻譯"的時候，我會認為他指的就是"翻譯"，從一個字到另一個字，從一句話完整的到另一句話。
我在想到底是什麼樣的人才會在学习一门新语言的时候，会有什么样子人會表示想要学直接翻译？
最後害得自己無法正確使用那種語言。然后呢，他会不能说正的语言?

如果你問別人「這句話該如何用中文說」，大多數人理所當然會認為你想要的是直接翻譯，而當他們找不到可以表達出完全一樣意思的句子時，他們會感到很困擾，所以才會告訴你「這句話不好翻譯成中文」
不是他們誤會你的意思，而是你的說法對他們來說就是你想要直接翻譯(direct translations)
這種時候不妨試試給對方一個情境(scenario)
例如：與其說「給我你的電話用中文要怎麼說」，不如問對方「我要說什麼對方才會給我他的電話」XD
