Like Mexico most people in Australia choose who they go on dates with. Sometimes people will set up a blind date for a friend. With online dating sites though, this happens less. There are many cultures here though. Jewish parents here set up blind dates for their children. Speed Dating has been quite popular for a long time - where 10 girls and 10 boys meet eachother, and spend 4 minutes with each person of the opposite gender. I'm think it is popular in many countries now.

Cultures are very different. In México isn't custom a blind date. We as young's have the option choose to go out with whom we like.

It's very popular in China,my friends and colleagues always go for blind date at weekends.Of course most of them are forced by their parents or relatives.it's not acceptable among young people, but you know it's a culture of parents' ages, sometimes we have no choice.Well,at least i hate blind date, and fortunately.i live in another city away from my parents,so they didn't make me do that.I enjoy the moment of living by myself.
