Does Germany welcomes political immigrants? I'm German and I was feeling a bit ashamed of that lately. Why? Because there are demonstrations in my country against immigrants. That's mostly against political immigrants, but the people not only demonstrate against them but also burn empty buildings intended to accommodate immigrants. Sometimes I ask myself if it wouldn't be these very demonstrators who would seek asylum first if there'd be any thread against them here in Germany. What would they think about their "host country" when people there would burn the buildings intended to accommodate them? Thank goodness the majority of Germans don't think or act in such an extreme manner. However, there are basic flaws made by our government reinforcing the "against immigrants" movement. Here is one example: They assigned a building in a small village as an accommodation for immigrants. The village has only about 200 residents and the government wants to send about the same number of immigrants to this village. There's no infrastructure there to handle such a number of people, no busses, no stores, no leisure or help facilities. This will lead inevitably to tensions between the residents and the immigrants. That's completely unnecessary in my view and could easily be avoided by politicians by simply finding better suited places. It should be clear that a single country, be it wealthy or poor, can only accommodate a limited amount of people from abroad. It should also be clear that it isn't always easy for both, residents and immigrants, to live together and to find some mutual understanding. For that reason it is crucial for a government to create optimal surroundings that can help both parties to manage this difficult situation.

It might should be clear that a single country, either be  wealthy or poor, can only accommodate a limited amount of people from abroad. It might should also be clear that it isn't always easy for both, residents and immigrants, to live together and to find some mutual understanding. For that reason it is crucial for a government to create optimal surroundings that can help both parties to manage this difficult situation.
