MLS games are not as popular, but they can be a very fun experience. Here in DC we have a team of almost every type of sport, so soccer suffers due to the competition. The DC United fans are very passionate though and are a very diverse bunch of people. Also, it is possible to get a ticket to a DC United game for 20$. That would be impossible for a baseball, basketball, or football game.

MLB and NFL is much more popular than MLS, but I think it is slowly becoming more popular because our national team actually did well during the Olympics.

No. I didn't know what MLS meant until I read Maura's comment. Definitely not as popular as either the MLB, NFL or even NHL or even college leagues.

I don't think there are any 'local MSL games' in America... Or maybe there are, but I wouldn't be aware of it.

And to answer your question, soccer is not super popular in the US. NFL is the most popular sport to watch, and MLB and NBA are also quite popular. Soccer is started to get promoted more and aired on TV now. Some people follow teams very closely and will go to the games, but it isn't as highly attended as MLB or NFL games.
