I'm Struggling with Word Choice When I Speak
I've memorized a lot of English words for the test. If I pass the exam, I would be able to read CNN and BBC news articles.
That is the main purpose of this test for English learners. The test can increase vocabularies and the grade of the test can be put on their resumes when they look for a job.
I've been increasing my vocabulary, but I get confused with which words I can apply to my casual conversation and which words are used for writing and formal conversation.
My friend said I have trouble with word choice when I speak.
How can I tell the difference?
Try to talk more with native speakers and listen to the way they speak. Or you can watch TV shows and dramas in English. For example, "want" is more formal than "wanna" in casual speech. Overall, good post!
