Please correct these sentences

1. A cat was scared by dogs, so it scrambled up a wall.  I don't understand what you mean by "a wall's carpet".
2. I was snaked through the crowd in a department store during a sale, trying to find something cheap.
3. One of my pet peeves is when I have to squeeze through the crowd on the bus in the heat of summer.
4. A tiger protects its young from jackals.  "young" is a collective noun.  Even if the tiger has many cubs, we still use the singular form.
5. Our organization protects tigers from poachers.
6. We must preserve our environment from pollution.  "pollution" is almost always used as an uncountable noun, and is used in the singular.
7. Doctors heal our wounds, but they can't heal the pain in our soul.
8. A good doctor can't heal every injury, because he is an expert in a defined area.
