People I encounter (1) I've been encountering lots of people from around the world in my process of learning English online these days. Initially, I felt surprised and depressed about a variety of the circumstances that I'd met as some people mentioned. At that time, I read some words what some one on italki encourage a girl. She said," Sometimes you just have to be patient and let it come with time." So, I had been trying to focus on the matter of learning and take advantage of any opportunities to practice in English expressing. I further told myself not to be too previous about refusing anythings.

1* I think for a 'circumstance' I would prefer 'met with' or 'come up against'

2* I'm not sure what you mean here.

I guess you are being ambiguous on purpose and quite tactfully saying that you have had some nevative experiences.
