Today's smal thought Today, there was no water in my house for a few hours due to the problem of the water pipe. So, I went to downtown, did some errands. When I stopped at a store to buy a flashlight, I noticed as well as surprised and disappointed that my pronunciation of "flashlight" was not understood by other people. Because I was not sure if I wasn't speaking loud enough which I tend not to, I tried to do it at another store. The reaction was the same. I was asked three times to say it, and was told that she was sorry that she couldn't understand me. (Polite Canadian) Now I have to start working on my pronunciation again..
