Wukro, 30 Years Later The Wukro inhabitants in the North Ethiopia form a queue to receive information about agriculture and food aid from NGOs. In 1984 the Ethiopia devastation images went around the world. It was a crisis announced due to it was consequence of a big drought and the Government had already advised people about the appearance of a famine period. Ethiopia could only produce 6.2 millions tones of cereals and needed one million more to feed its population. Although the internationational aid arreived gradually they recived few support of ohers countries due to Megistu colonel spent more money in weapons than in food.He used famine as a war weapon to defeat rebels. Now the Wukro population has achieved a political stability and have learned how to deal with dorughts.Angel Olaran, who is missionary in this area, have helped them.
