My first essay on italki! It was so strange that every time I reviewed attentively before my IELTS exams, I would get a bad record, vice versa. Tons of topic cards were recited before my second and third exam and I got only 5.5 and 6.0 for the speaking part. But without preparation at all in my first and last exam, I got two 6.5s. What’s worst, my writing records were always 5.5, no matter after a number of some self-indulgent days or a two-month period of extra English writing training classes as well as plenty of reciting tasks. It’s crystal clear that I still lack of English writing skills. I’m going to study in University of Edinburgh and I don’t think I can handle my homework if my English writing would still be this bad. So I decided to keep updating essays on italki until I reach Edinburgh in late June. Hope that I could improve my writing after 2 months. I won’t try to avoid every probable mistakes because I think it may help me to find the correct and native expressions. If anyone is reading my essay, I would say sorry to you for bearing my awful grammar!

My first essay on italki!

It was so strange that every time I reviewed attentively before my IELTS exams, I would get a bad score and vice versa. Tons of topic cards were recited before my second and third exam and I got only 5.5 and 6.0 respectively for the speaking part. But without preparation at all in my first and last exams, I got two 6.5s. What’s worse, my writing records were always 5.5, no matter how many self-indulgent days or a two-month period of extra English writing training classes and reciting tasks I have.
It’s crystal clear that I still lack good English writing skills. I’m going to study in University of Edinburgh and I don’t think I can handle my homework if my English writing would still be this bad. So I decided to keep updating essays on italki until I reach Edinburgh in late June. I hope that I could improve my writing after 2 months.
I will try to avoid every possible mistake because I think it may help me find the correct and native expressions. If anyone is reading my essay, I would say sorry to you for bearing my awful grammar!

Your essay is actually pretty good. I only made a few small corrections. Good luck at Edinburgh :)
