The weather is very changeable 天气很多变。
It is located close to the sea 圣彼得堡是沿海城市。
We have to wait a long time until spring comes to St. Petersburg. - 圣彼得堡的春天还需要很长时间才能来
to end - 结束 jie shu
in the beginning of - 1-10 月初
11-20 月中
in the end of - 21-30 月末，月底
in the beginning of Sept - 九月初 (chu)
beginning and year end - 年初 年底
Summer lasts from May to the end of September - 夏天出从5月到9月末/低 夏季从五月开始持续到九月底。
I was mistaken, "I thought wrong" - 我以为
do you mean that you was wrong? or you made a mistake?
Second World War - 第二次世界大战 (or for short: 二战)
Victory Day - 胜利日 sheng li
fireworks - （放）烟花 yan huan (different from 放鞭炮 firecracker bian pao!!)
The subway closes at 0.30 - 12点半地铁就停了/12点半地铁就没有了。
light clothes - 薄 bo2 薄衣服 not so many people pronouce 'bo2 yi1 fu', we say 'bao2 yi1 fu'
кофточка - 针织衫 zhen zhi shan
selfie - 自拍 zi pai
tourists - 游客 you ke
it's really fashion now - 现在很火，很流行
camera - zhào xiàng jī 照相机
比喻 bi yu - metaphor (note for myself: if it is not chengyu, it is two words combined)
碰到 come across peng dao
动作片 - action movies
喜剧 xi ju comedy
成龙演(yan)了很多喜剧 Jackie Chen starred in many comedies.
招牌式 zhao pai shi - (чья-то) визитная карточка (фиг.)
吸引 xi yin to attract
典型 diǎnxíng - typical, characteristic of smb
经典 jing dian classic
traditional characters - fántǐzì 繁体字
Simplified - jiǎntǐzì 简体字

办理(bànlǐ)=办(bàn) depends on what context!
residence permit - 居留(jūliú)许可(xǔkě) (lit. state permission)
探亲(tànqīn)=visit ... but visit is not only equal to 探亲 ：）
the only country where... - 唯一(wéiyī)=only
偷偷地... - secrectly
痛苦 painful
cai neng - skill 才能， 技能
平等(píngděng) - equal
锻炼身体 - 锻炼(duànliàn)=work out
脏话 - zang hua - dirty words
惊喜(jīngxǐ)=surprise
吃惊(chījīng)=surprise dinner wrong！惊喜的晚餐
强壮(qiángzhuàng)粗犷(cūguǎng) - strong (physically) and rude
defend, protect - 保护 baohu
坚强(jiānqiáng) - "mentally strong"
空寂 dominant kòngzhì wrong! 空寂 means quiet, no one there and no sounds either.
behavior - 行为 xíngwéi

responsibility - 责任(zérèn)
自然(zìrán)=natural
甜心 tiánxīn=sweetheart Almost no Chinese people call someone 甜心，we say baby, darling, etc. 宝贝，宝宝，亲爱的。。。
实用(shíyòng)=practical
行动(xíngdòng)=actions
长期(chángqī)=long term
两地(liǎngdì)分居(fēnjū) - separate places I would translate to couple lives in different places.
亲手(qīnshǒu) - hand-made ("by personal hands") - other good ex.: 我亲眼看到了，我亲耳听到
整齐(zhěngqí)=neat
全是(quánshì) - all are
满满 mǎn mǎn full
不光 not only = 不仅
聚会(jùhuì)=派对(pàiduì)=party (an older and a modern word)
全职(zhí)太太 - "full-time wife" (sounds cool)
家庭主妇(jiātíngzhǔfù)=housewife
Some of the translates are not so suitble, because the culture and backgrounds are different, I think that teachers should get to know more english and the differences between culture.
For some words, need to explain more, than just translate. But this is my opinion and my way to teach. :)

不光 not only = 不仅 Be careful with this, it can mean not bright, under handed etc.

全职(zhí)太太 - "full-time wife" (sounds cool) Most probably slang! So be very careful. It means "full time job".
家庭主妇(jiātíngzhǔfù)=housewife
