Help!!!!

I need help with my English, because I make many errors in my sentence structure.

English can be tricky to learn, especially if you are learning through online sources, and I commend you for taking it on. This is primarily because what is grammatically correct can vary depending on the country, so, depending on the reason you wish to learn the language, you have to learn from a different set of rules. The two main branches are American English and British Standard English, but some countries, such as Canada and Australia, have adopted spellings and grammar rules from both.

In both American and British Standard English, you should capitalize proper nouns regardless of where they appear in a sentence. In elementary (primary) school, I was taught that a noun is "a person, a place, or a thing," and that a proper noun names a specific person, place, or thing.

So (unless they appear at the beginning of a sentence) the words "person" and "people" would be lowercase but the names "Sarah" and "the Smiths" would be always capitalized. Note that in the case of the Smiths, I only capitalized the surname and not the word "the". The same goes for the words "city" and "country" and the places "Chicago" and "England". English is a specific language and is therefore capitalized. The same goes for all other countries.

Commas are tricky, because the rules for when it is appropriate vary so greatly. Even from the time I learned to what my younger relatives are learning now, some of the rules are being taught differently. In this case, you could get away with using the comma before "because" or not in the States, depending on the reader.

If you have any other questions, just let me know. I'd be happy to help.
