First attempt in writting Hiragana.

きょう、わたし うれしい(/しあわせ) です。(Today I am happy. [I wish I could say "I am in a good mood" instead])

"I am in a good mood" →わたし は きぶん が いいです(/わたし は げんきです/わたし は きげん が いいです)。

わたし の ねこ ねて うしろ の なか に わたし の のーとぱそこん(/ノートパソコン) の うら で ねています。 (My cat is sleeping behind my laptop.)

わたし おひるごはん に (/ちゅうしょく に) BLT を たべました。(I ate a BLT.[I wish I could add "for lunch" afterwards but I don't know how.])

Please correct me on any mistakes! Feedback is extremely appreciated!

Thank you! I bet you're right with that last sentence, too. It sounds like it would be correct that way.

The easiest rule to remember when thinking about "wa":s is that if it is part of a word, it's わ and if it's a particle (i.e topic marker) it is は! Also, because "ate" is past tense the correct way to end sentence is "tabemashita", "たべました" or once you get your kanji going "食べました". Also, I'm still a beginner but I'll give a shot at correcting the last sentence (with the "at/for lunch" added): 私は昼ごはんでBLTを食べました。 Which would be "Watashi wa hiru gohan de BLT o tabemashita." in romaji. Hope I could be of assistance, and as I said, I'm not very knowledgeable yet so I may have made some mistakes!
