2. I desperately want to know my onions. (Is this an expression? If it's not then you shouldn't personify or give human atributes to an object.)

4. A lack of affection notmally comes from a lack of love.
5. When do you think is the best day for meeting ?

<em>You never say "tide over".  It will always be "tide me over"</em>

 

examples: She ate food to tide her over until dinner. This will help tide you over.


2. I desperately want to know my onions.

<em>I don't know if you are saying options or opinion.  If it is options, your sentence is correct.  </em>

 

<em>If it is opinion:</em>

C: I desperately want to know your opinion.


3. My mom would have screamed with full delight when I left home. She wanted to be alone occupying home.

 

<em>The tense of this sentence is incorrect.  "would have" means something DIDN'T happen, but "when" means something DID happen</em>.

C1:  (Past) My mom would have screamed with delight if I had left home.  She wanted to have the house to herself.

C2: (Past) My mom screamed with delight when I left home.  She wanted to have the house to herself.

C3:  (future) My mom will scream with delight when I leave home.  She wants to have the house to herself.


4. A lack of affection normally comes from a lack of love.

<em>This sentence is good!</em>

5. When do you think is the best day for meeting ?

<em>This sentence is MAYBE correct.  This sentence is talking HYPOTHETICALLY.  You are just asking someone a question, NOT saying you "want to meet."</em>
