I need motivation to re-start English learning. Actually, I enjoyed learning English. But all of sudden, I lost all of my energy to learn English. I need any motivations to re-start it. Does anyone know fun English-spoken TV series? or anything else? I think my slump is originated by studying a programming language 'Python'. Studying the programming language was more interested in learning English. By studying it, I can create my own program. Creating is more fun than just learning. But I don't want to lose my interest on learning English. Please, let me know if someone know how I hold my interests on both. Thanks in advance.

Actually, I enjoyed learning English.
But all of sudden, I lost all of my energy to learn English.

I need any some motivations to re-start again. it.

I think my slump is originated by studying a programming language called 'Python'.
Studying the programming language was more interested in interesting than learning English.

By studying it, I can create my own programs. Creating is more fun than just learning. But I don't want to lose my interest in learning English.

Please, let me know if you someone know how I can hold my interests in both.

Hi, Two of the most popular TV shows I know of are "Game of Thrones" and "The Walking Dead". The first is an epic fantasy and the second is a post-apocalyptic zombie show. I haven't seen the former, but I quite enjoy the latter. What kind of media and genres are you interested in? Do you enjoy a good book, certain types of music, specific styles of music, etc? Also, one of my favourite things about languages is its versatility to convey and create. Short stories and poems can be quite expressive and thought provoking. Writing lyrics for songs is also there if you're more into aural stimulation. In the end, I hope you do what you enjoy. It's alright if your interests shift over time.

Well, the correction of your entry by Leigh will remind you that you still have things to learn. And I think Ruthi is correct that knowing why you want to improve your English skills will give you the motivation to go after it. So, below is one example of an English language Python programmers forum. Maybe you can rediscover your interest in English with some friends who are English speaking Python programmers. http://forums.devshed.com/python-programming-11/

When you say that studying Python was more interesting than studying English, you say that the reason is that you can write programs with it.So the problem is that you have no motivation because you have no "goal" for studying. If you knew, for example, that a really great job or a trip depended on your English level you would be motivated.Or if you had a girlfriend and you could not talk to her because your English was not good enough, you would be motivated. So maybe you just don't know WHY you want to learn English? IF you dont' have a reason of course you are not motivated.Find the reason to learn and then you will want to do it.
