"I haven't gone away on travling much a trip many times but when I do, I try to experience rare and new things, that I can't normally do in my everyday life. And it gets me feeling refreshed, and my mind gets clear."

It does sound a little strange because of "haven't travelled... but when I do".
I wouldn't say it that way.I think I would prefer" I don't travel very often,but when I do..' because then you are using the same tense and not changing from Present perfect to Present simple.
