Different Nationality But The Same Language Yestarday night I skyped with a new friend from South Africa. So, now I have talked to American, British, Australian and Southafrican people. Someone sometimes asks me if I can notice the differences among their English. I can't. At all. I'm not so much advanced. I know some words are different, too, but again I can't remember. For example, realise and realize, or flat and apartment: which one is British and which one is American English? Well, I think it isn't so important. People who speak English will understand for sure both the expression. I hope, at least. :) Maybe in some years I will be able to understand where people come from by their accents...I wish!

Different Nationality But The Same Language

Last night I skyped with a new friend from South Africa. So, now I have talked to American, British, Australian and South African people. Sometimes, people ask me if I can notice the difference (or differences) among (between is better) their English. I can't. At all. I'm not so much advanced. I know some words are different but I can't remember which speakers have used them. For example, realise and realize, or flat and apartment. Which one is British and which one is American English? Well, I think it isn't so important. People who speak English will surely understand both expressions. I hope, at least. :) Maybe in some years, I will be able to understand where people come from by their accents...I wish!

Different Nationalities But The Same Language

Last night I skyped with a new friend from South Africa. So, now I have talked to American, British, Australian and South African people. Sometimes people ask me if I can notice the difference in the way they speak English. I can't. Not at all. I'm not that advanced. I know some words are different too, but again, I can't remember who uses what. For example, realise and realize, or flat and apartment: which one is British and which one is American English? Well, I think it isn't so important. People who speak English will  surely understand  both  expressions. I hope so, at least. :) Maybe in some years, I will be able to understand where people come from by their accents...I wish!
