Hola hola, Juan Carlos!

Happy Mother's day

Today in Spain is the Mother's day(1). It's a special day. We celebrate in with our family(2). It's common giving to give(3) some gifts for to(4) our mothers. Congrats to all mothers around the world.

Here are some explanations/details:

(1) - For important celebrations and holidays, we don't use the article, 'the'.  We say, today is Christmas Day, Easter Sunday, Halloween, all without articles.

(2) - In English you have to say 'with our family' to say 'en familia'.  In this case, since you say 'we celebrate', it might also be best to say 'without our families' in plural because you are talking about Spain in general.

(3) After expressions of frequency with 'It's', the verb is in infinitive.  It's common to give presents, It's rare to send letters nowadays, It's normal to feel scared, It's usual to bring too much luggage on holiday.

If you want to use the gerund, you have to change the word order of the sentence:

Giving gifts to our mothers is normal.

Giving presents is common.

Sending letters is rare nowadays.

Felling scared is normal. etc...

(4) We can buy a gift for our mothers, but we give the gift to them.

Espero que te ayuden estas correcciones!  Que tengas un buen día de la madre!
