Am I loosing my English skills? A year has already passed since I started university. I am attending foreign languages courses, but I'm not studying English anymore, since I chose to focus my attention on slavic languages. I am very proud of this choose of mine, but now the cons are getting more and more evident. First of all, I have few occasions to practise English, if we don't consider as a proper exercise reading and chatting in English on the net, but still I have to admit that knowing English at an high level is strictly necessary, expecially for those who have a degree in foreign languages, like me. English language is always required and anyway everybody just espect you to know it and be able to hold a conversation. I studied English only at high school and I don't have any certificate. I think I etc.atill easily get one,but I worry more on loosing the actual skill to talk etc. I feel like my vocabulary is getting poorer and poorer every day, sometimes it also happens to me to make ortographical errors, due to the different phonetic of slavic languages. That's why now I am trying to write a test about a "serious" issue, because however in the future I wish I'll be always able to translate things into English and to express myself fluently :)

at the moment I am studying Polish and Russian at university, my priority is to get specialized in slavic languages...because of course I like them, plus they can also be useful in the job field... English is not my priority now, actually I am not studying it anymore, I am just trying not to loose what I learnt in the highschool times...

I see that you are learning 3 languages. For purpose are you learning them? English, Spanish and Mandarin are the 3 most common languages. It'simportant to know why you are learning a particular language. If you are learning a language because of work or you are going to move to that country then that language should be number 1.
