The sevaral English accents Today I've done another English lesson, and my teacher, who is Irish, told me I have to get used to different accents there are in English. There is the Scotland accent, the British accent, the Irish accent, the American accent, etc. I told him I know that there are seveal accents but why can't I get used to one accent? And he replayed me, if you travel in Usa or in Australia or everywhere, what are you doing if you don't understand them? So to conclude today I have learnt that I can't get used to only accent, but I have to try getting used to several accent.

The several English accents

Today I had another English lesson. My teacher, who is Irish, told me I have to get used to all the different accents there are in English.

There is the Scottish accent, the British accent, the Irish accent, the American accent, etc.

I told him I knew that there were several accents, but I asked him why I couldn't get used to only one.

He responded by saying: "If you travel to the USA, Australia, or anywhere else, what are you going to do if you don't understand them?"

In conclusion, I have learned that I can't get used to only one accent, but that I also have to try getting used to several different accents.

This is corrected according to American English. British English would probably say things differently, so check with someone from the UK if you're more interested in their method of writing. Hope this helps! :)
