How to improve my speaking skills in English? As a Chinese, I have learned English as my second language for nearly 10 years. However, i still can't speak fluently. The goal of our education is to help us to pass tests which are mostly based on reading and writing but not communication. Actually, the function of a language is as a tool to make us understand others. So, i haven't realized the importance of speaking until now. Because, i failed in my TOEFL, especially in the speaking part of the test.

Actually, the function of a language is as a tool to make help us understand others.

So, I haven't realized the importance of speaking until now. Because, I failed in my TOEFL, especially in the speaking part of the test.
