Travelling 1. The porter didn't understand me and took my luggage to the compartment instead of the luggage-van. 2. I'm usually a good sailor, I'm seasick only in very rough sea. 3. One of the flights was delayed and the departure lounge was full of passengers. 4. The number of ports, which our steamer is going to call at in Italy, depends on how rough the sea is going to be. 5. Entering my cabin, I firstly look into the porthole and find the life-buoy. 6. He takes an upper berth in the cabin on the main deck. 7. I believed that we were going to call at this port only after I'd seen a lighthouse and then a quay through the porthole. 8. The air-hostess offered us lollipops in case we feel travelsick. 9. It's pleasant to walk on the deck when the weather is good and the sea is calm. 10. I see the ladder being removed, feel the plain taking off and realize that holidays have begun. 11. We had spent a week aboard the steamer and were desperate to go ashore, but in the destination port we were awaited only in two days time. 12. I prefer direct trains: I don't have to think about connections, explain to the steward that I have a non-smoking-car or to wait in a lobby worrying that the train may be cancelled.
