The 70th anniversary of Victory Day of the Soviet Army and the Soviet people over Germany in The Great Patriotic War. On the 9th of May, 1945 Germany admitted defeat in World War II and signed the act of capitulation. The same day at the Central Airport of Moscow landed the plane that brought the capitulation act. Victory Day is a holiday today. On this great holiday people traditionally greet veterans, laid flowers at the monuments to soldiers who were killed in the war. An important part of the day is a salute. Moscow is hosting the gala concert, which is broadcast on television. The celebration of Victory Day, the first in the Soviet Union is associated with sincere joy and a sense of great relief. People on the streets congratulated each other after the war, cried, laughed and hugged. However, the actual parade on Red Square was organized only on the 24th of June. It took so much time to prepare an official holiday from the date of approval of the decree, including the sewing forms for thousands of participants. This event prepared very carefully. The organization of the parade was a very high level. Marshals Zhukov and Rokossovsky commanded the parade. They drove along Red Square on a white and a black horses. People and military equipment attended the parade. Parade ended with the burning of flags of Germany at the foot of the Mausoleum. In the USSR two years after the first celebration of the 9th of May, it has ceased to be a holiday. It was in order to recover from the war.
