Personal introduction

I prepared for this notebook forabout several hours. I'm not good at writing. Sometimes I don't know what to write. Since this is my first notebook, I will introduce myself. Firstly, I'm a 22-year-old girl from China. I like watching movies and listening to music. I graduated 2 years ago  and work in a textile export company.

The reason that I registered an account on this site isn't only for my work, it is also because I like language, although I can only speak Chinese, a little English and very, very little Korean. People gathered here from different countries said speak different languages, that is fantastic!

English is the most common language, but my English is not good, I really want to improve it. I always spend much a lot of time on thinking how to express myself. The language habits between Chinese and English are really different. In the beginning, I was afraid of speaking English because I was afraid of making mistakes. But now I know I can't stop my progress because of fear, as Chinese says "Failure is the mother of success".

I'm also glad to tell you something about China and Chinese culture.

Hello Gemma, although your writing isn't perfect I can understand all of it. You are right about making mistakes. If you make a mistake then you learn one thing that is not correct!

I have made a few corrections, try to learn words as patterns rather than words. It will make your writing better.

1. listen to (music, the radio, an mp3)

2. speak (languages, Chinese, English)

3. afraid of (speaking, writing, spiders!)

4. spend time (cooking)

Try writing more without so much preparation. It won't be perfect at first but it will get better.
