Thanks. Yes I know the differences, just surprised by all the ways you can use by changing something so small in the meaning, much different in English.

Hi, do you know the deference of formarity? For the first step, basically, we have formal (with ですorます) and informal/casual form. So, as Daniel said, のむ and のみます means the same and they have conjugations. I hope this was helpful.
