A Wild Animal of My Homeland I have decided to write about a wild animal of my country, Iran. It is Iranian Cheetah, critical endanger species, survive only in Iran although it had even been in India. A survey in 2013 shows that only 20 cheetahs remain in Iran's plateau and I think due to lack of management of environment resources this amount has been decreased at the present. Cheetahs are big cats and are famous for their speed. They can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and can reach 65 mph (103 km/h) when following their prey. They are identified by yellow coat with black spots, letting them to become near as much as possible to the prey and rush into it in appropriate occasion. You can find them in open lands in the desert areas around Dasht-e Kavir in the eastern half of Iran and their main prey is wild sheep. Some activities have been done to protect Iranian Cheetah and even its picture was used on the jerseys of the Iran national football team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup to absorb attention to support this species and I hope, they work.

Some action has been takent to protect the Iranian Cheetah and even an image of the cheetah was shown on the jerseys of the Iranian national football team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup to encourage support for this species. I hope this works to save the Iranian Cheetah.
