Fear of insects
I have insectophobia, if that's a real word and I have no clue idea when I got it. It goes back to my childhood. I lived in a small mansion house, and I used to play with sand and bugs and everything, like normal kids do. But unlike them, I had fear of insects. I had difficulty grabbing insects with my hand. Not only creepy insects, but dragonflies and grasshoppers are also challenging for me to catch. I thought the fear would go away once I become an adult. Turns out it didn't go away unless I try to get over it. I get easily startled by any flying creature. I want to live in the a bug-free world.
Hello
Just a few corrections, the fear can be called insectophobia or the scientific name is entomophobia.
Well done.
Fear of insects
I have insecto-phobia, if that's a real word, and I have no clue how long I have had it. It goes back to my childhood. I lived in a small house *, and I used to play with sand and bugs and everything, like normal kids do. But unlike them, I had a fear of insects. I had difficulty grabbing insects with my hand. Not only creepy insects, but dragonflies and grasshoppers are also challenging for me to catch. I thought the fear would go away once I become an adult. Turns out it didn't go away unless I try to get over it. I get easily startled by any flying creature. I want to live in the bug-free world.
* a mansion is a large house so you cannot say "a small mansion"
* fear of insects is called entomophobia!
I also hate insects except for cute ones like ladybirds.
