My graduation day) On a summer day two years ago, I graduated from the secondary school. Many of my classmates had been looking forward to this day for a few years, but for me it was really sad event, as it signified the leave-taking with my classmates, with whom I used to spend a lot of time, and with my favorite teachers, who always believe in me and support me. The graduation took place in assembly hall of my school. The hall was prepared for celebrating as the stage was decorated with flowers, balloons and streamers and chairs were arranged for those attending. On graduation day, my classmates and me arrived at school. Girls were wearing nightdresses while boys put on suits. It was our last day in school walls, so we were walking through long corridors, which had become so native for us during these 11 years of studying and sitting in empty rooms, which we used to see crowded and noisy. We were taking last photos here with each other and with our teachers, parents and friends, who had come to congratulate us with graduating of school. Soon the ceremony began. The headmaster and some teachers made speeches and wished us to succeed in our further life. Then we were called one by one to receive our certificates of secondary education. Then we sent balloons into sky and made wishes. Finally, we had an informal dinner party in the restaurant. I will always remember excited faces of my classmates, my mum, who had teary eyes all evening, the headmaster of my school, who shook my hand after giving the certificate, encouraging smiles of my teachers and loud applause of audience. It was sad event but now I realize that it signified the beginning of a new period of my life with its own advantages and own beauty. However, of course I’ll always miss my school friends and happy school weekdays.
