MEN AND WOMEN IN SOCIETY In the past, men and women generally had their own roles. These traditional roles were based on the traditional idea of men and women. Nowadays that are changing lots, although in any cases are still observed today. Men were seen as the breadwinners of the family. They got the main source of income. They had to work every day for support their family. Women were in charge of the households. This included many households such as, taking care the children, do every housework and housekeeping. Normally they didn't get a wage. Now, however, these gender roles are being changed. Men and women are created equal, save some physical differences, and hence specific roles for men and women apply now. First of all, the access of education is the same for women and men. Both have got the same opportunities of get a degree. They have disappeared the old stereotypes about classic degrees such as nurse, teacher, lawyer and so on. Today the classrooms at universities are filled up with men and woman. There isn't difference about different degrees. Secondly, the job world has changed also. Time ago, it was quite difficult to find a woman in some head job such as principal, director of a big company and so on. For men was very difficult to understand that women could manage the staff. Men used to be ahead of the staff. That's changed totally. Women are as competent as men. However, there are any kind of physical job that cannot be done by women, but they are the exception. Finally, the gender role in our society is changing every day. Today, there are little differences between men and women. Women have achieved the same rights as men. That is a fact in occidental world, although in other countries, other communities, women are discriminated still. There is a lot of work to do for the equality of gender in these areas. From my point of view, we live in an egalitarian society. There are few differences between men and women, far away from physical differences. Men should make more effort for not discriminated women in a relationship. In Spain, men are quite sexist still; nevertheless the government and the different social actors are making a huge effort for changing the way of thinking. In my opinion things are improving little by little.

MEN AND WOMEN IN SOCIETY

In the past, men and women generally had their own roles. These traditional roles were based on the traditional idea of men and women. Nowadays they are changing lots, although in many cases are still observed today. Men were seen as the breadwinners of the family.

They got were the main source of income.

You are writing about 'men' being the main source of income, so they were.  You could say:

They were the main source of income (They = The men) OR

They got the main income (you are speaking about the income).

They had to work every day for to support their families. (Men (plural), therefore families in plural too).

Women were in charge of the households.  The household means the people in the family, so it was the men who were in charge.  You could say that women were in charge of the household chores.

This included many household chores, such as, taking care the children, doing all the every housework and housekeeping. Normally they didn't get ('earn' or 'receive' sound better) a wage.
Now, however, these gender roles are being changed. Men and women are created equal, save some physical differences, and hence specific roles for men and women apply now. (Do you mean that they 'don't apply now'?)

First of all, the access to education is the same for women and men. Both have got the same opportunities to get a degree.

They have disappeared the old stereotypes The old stereotypes about classic degrees such as nursing, teaching, lawyer and so on have disappeared.

Nurse, teacher and lawyer are the jobs, the people.  The courses are better to say here.

Today the classrooms at universities are filled up with men and woman. There isn't difference about between different degrees.

Secondly, the job world has changed also. Some time ago, it was quite difficult to find a woman in some head job (this is fine, but it sounds natural to say 'a leadership and management post') such as principal, director of a big company and so on. For men it was very difficult to understand that women could manage the staff. Men used to be ahead the head of the staff. That has changed totally. Women are as competent as men. However, there are some any kinds of physical job that cannot be done by women, but they are the exception.

Finally, the gender roles in our society are changing every day.

You could say, 'gender roles are changing every day' or 'the role of gender is changing every day'.

Today, there are little few differences between men and women.

If you say 'little differences' it means 'pequenas diferencias', but it you say 'few differences' it means 'pocas diferencias', which sounds better in this case.

Women have achieved the same rights as men. That is a fact in occidental western world, although in other countries and in other communities, women are still discriminated against. There is a lot of work to do for the equality of gender in these areas.

From my point of view, we live in an egalitarian society. There are few differences between men and women, far away apart from physical differences. Men should make more effort for not to discriminated against women in a relationship. In Spain, men are still quite sexist still; nevertheless the government and the different social actors (?? - activists??) are making a huge effort for changing to change the way of thinking. In my opinion things are improving little by little.

Fantastic work, which I really enjoyed reading, Juan Carlos!

A couple of points with grammar that might help:

In Spanish you say 'para cambiar', 'para ayudar' etc.  In English we say 'to change', 'to help'.  This will always be correct.  Sometimes we can say 'for changing', 'for helping', but this is not the case in every situation.  I recommend for now that you use the 'to change' style.

Also, in Spanish you can put 'todavía' at the end of the sentence.  This sounds strange in English, where we normally put the 'still' after the subject.  For example:

We still haven't eaten.

I still like to read before going to sleep.

John still prefers desserts to starters.

Hope this helps!  Well done!
