A house-husband
I have been a house-husband for the last month, and I think I was am enjoying it.:)
My mother-in-law, who used to take care of my new-born daughter had sprained her waist one month ago, and the doctor said that she had to stay in bed to before the situation getting better. My wife had to go back to work, since her maternity leave had finished. so it was my turn to stand up, to be a full time father.
It is was really tough at the beginning. I have had no idea how to take care of a baby, there was so much to learn ! But I'm a fast learner, my wife tells me that I have done a good job. It could can be exhausting, but most of the time there are it is so much fun ! A baby could can make you feel really happy sometimes.
One challenge is that I have to re-schedule my routine in this situation. I have had no full time opportunity for English learning recently, but I believe I can find my way (anyway). I have set a goal for myself. Let's see if I could can work it out !
I did the same thing when my son was very young. I used to work nights for Royal Mail [Post Office], so I took the 'day shift' at home, while my wife was out working. As you say, it's an experience that is well worth while, and so many fathers miss it !
