My motivation letter 2 Pertamina, as National Company owned by Government, has exactly same vision and policies of future energy consumption by Renewable energy. Regarding this, Pertamina established new directorate named “New and Renewable Energy Directorate” in end 2014. This policy had aroused my determination to contribute in this directorate. Since February 2013, I have been placed in “Marketing & Trading Directorate” which focuses on downstream channel of distribution; and in here, I handle LPG distribution management in order to analyze the most efficient and effective route. It gives me a comprehensive insight about energy management in Indonesia not only LPG but also other energy resources such as fuel oil, natural gas, kerosene, and renewable energy plants. Besides, during the bachelor degree, my final project was about Digital Control Systems. It was concerning on how to implement a functional logic into an Integrated Circuit (IC). Using Verilog/VHDL code to construct the idea of function, my skill of logical analyzing was excelling. By working on this project which supervised under cooperation between ITB and Panasonic Singapore, certainly I got strong experiences in digital control design. To achieve my dream in renewable energy, I have to study hard from any resources. Unfortunately, I don’t get learning materials I expected in the office; So, I have to search what I need by myself; academic paper from web of university, animation video from YouTube, or webinars from IEEE forums. There are many things I want to learn about. First of all, I want to learn about how to implement a logical control into a renewable power plant device such as wind power or photovoltaic in order to deal with an intermittent generation problem from the sources. The other things I want to learn is how to analyze energy harnessing in a remote area to achieve demand-availability energy balance; one of examples is implementing a smart grid system in electrical system. In addition, I want to learn how to manage a project of power plant construction including market analyzing and energy economics.
