An anecdote (Has this text any mistake?) Last year I met with an English girl because I wanted to practice my English. One day she asked me about going to the cinema and I accepted. On our way to the cinema, we went by the door of a hairdressing salon and, then, she told me that at the beginning of her stay in Spain she thought that a hairdressing salon in Spain was a place where films were screened because the word ‘peluquería’ in Spanish, which is the same that ‘hairdressing salon’ in English, has a similar root to the word ‘película’, which means ‘film’ in Spanish. So, I challenged her to go into a hairdressing salon and ask about the films that were being screened there, but she just laughs with me about that and didn’t do it. It is a silly story, but it makes me laugh and I think that this story likes me because it reminds me of that girl, who is as innocent and kind as this anecdote.

An anecdote (Has this text any mistake?)

Last year I met with an English girl because I wanted to practice my English. One day, she asked me about going to go to the cinema and I accepted. On our way to the cinema, we went by the door of a hairdressing salon and then she told me that at the beginning of her stay in Spain, she thought that a hairdressing salon in Spain was a place where films were screened because the word ‘peluquería’ in Spanish, which is the same that as  ‘hairdressing salon’ in English, has a similar root to the word ‘película’, which means ‘film’ in Spanish. So, I challenged her to go into a hairdressing salon and ask about the films that were being screened there, but she just laughed with me about that and didn’t do it. It is a silly story, but it makes me laugh and I think that this story likes pleases me because it reminds me of that girl, who is as innocent and kind as this anecdote.

That's funny! Good anecdote.

Didn't find anything wrong here. Funny story though, never thought of "peluqueria" related to "peliculas" Cheers!
