How I learned English Like every French Canadian, I learned English at school, but at my nineteen years old I drop out and I started working until my mid twenty two. At that time I wasn't sure if I wanted to find an other job or go back to school, so I went for a year to Australia. When I arrived, I realize one thing, I could'nt understand most of the Australian. I wasn't too bad to understand English Canadian back home, but the Australian ''bush'' accent of my farm manager was completly different. I'm not joking it took me about a month to be fine with it. However, it was a great experience and my listening skills improved a lot. Even if the communication was hard at the beginning, I can say that the people in Australia are some of the nicest person I met in my life. I hope one day to go back down under to visit the friends I made there.

Great job! Barely any mistakes. Being an American, I can certainly agree that English accents can be drastically different. Once, I was talking to someone from New Zealand and I was completely lost during the second half of our conversation, even though I am a native English speaker! It is impressive that you pushed through it!
