people in developing countries are happier than before while people in developed countries are not People’s living standard has been continuously improved with rapid development of science. The transportation facilities run more efficient, children get better educated, people’s health are guaranteed by more advanced medical care, etc., almost every aspect gains progress. Not only in developing countries, but also developed countries. However, a surprised result revealed by many studies draws people’s attention, they point out, that people in developing countries are happier than before, while people in developed countries are not. It is plain to see why people in developing countries are happier than before. Back to old times, people in developing countries could barely get enough food to keep their livings, but nowadays food issues are no longer a problem. They have got started to pursuit spiritual enjoyments. Their conditions have had a huge difference. No wonder they are feeling happier through the changing. Positive changes have also occurred in developed countries, they have received benefits from developing as well, yet their senses of happiness are not enhanced. There is just a tiny distinction between these two kinds of developments, it is speed that they do not share. Along with the relative slow improvement of living standard, their demands are decreasing, meanwhile it becomes more and more unrealistic. A cozy life is no longer their aims, perhaps traveling in space could only make them happy again. As can be seen, needs results in sense of happiness. The same glass of water, for a man who is carrying a bottle of cola, means nothing, while for a man coming out from a desert who has suffered from thirst, means priceless treasure.
