If You Can I recently read an interesting post (I don’t know the author), and I became interested to translate it into English. If you can: - start your day without caffeine, - be on one’s toes and do not pay attention to the aches and pains, - refrain from complaining and do not bore people with your problems, - have the same food everyday and be grateful for it, - understand your loved one, when he does not have time for you, - turn a deaf ear to your loved one’s accusations, when everything goes wrong, and it is not your fault, - accept criticism quietly, - treat your poor friend as well as to the rich one, - do without lies and deceit, - deal with stress without drugs, - relax without drinking alcohol, - sleep without drugs, - honestly say that you have no prejudice against someone’s skin color, religion, sexual orientation, etc, then you have reached the same development level as your dog.

If You Can

I recently read an interesting post (I don’t know the author), and I became interested in translating it into English.

If you can:

- start your day without caffeine,
- stay/be on your toes, and do not pay attention to the aches and pains,
- refrain from complaining, and do not bore people with your problems,
- have the same food everyday, and be grateful for it,
- understand your loved one, when he does not have time for you,
- turn a deaf ear to your loved one’s accusations, when everything goes wrong, and it is not your fault,
- accept criticism quietly,
- treat your poor friend as well as to the rich one,
- do without lies and deceit,
- deal with stress without drugs,
- relax without drinking alcohol,
- sleep without drugs,
- honestly say that you have no prejudice against someone’s skin color, religion, sexual orientation, etc.,

then you have reached the same development level as your dog.

The last sentence came totally unexpectedly.  Very funny, and very insightful!

The title of the book is, "Shut Up, Stop Whining, and Get a Life: A Kick-Butt Approach to a Better Life" and the author is Larry Winget. Anyway, it is very interesting.
