Alien hunter

It was a boring summer afternoon, school had been over for quite some time and there were still plenty more days left for lazing around. From the corner of my eye, a little spark on a nearby hill spaked spiked my interest, so I took out my binoculars and, after memorizing the exact spot where the light was coming from, I went on a hunt.

Maybe a bike doesn't give much of a sci-fi vibe, but that was the only means of transportation available to me, so that's what I used to get there.
To an untrained eye what I found would have looked like a piece of glass from a normal bottle, but they would be wrong, since that piece of glass had obviously been part of an alien spaceship before it came crashing down, shattering to pieces when it collided with the ground.
